The Scag Cheetah II is the fastest and most comfortable cat in the Scag family.
Clocking in at speeds up to 25.7km/h and featuring a coil-over shock suspension system, the Cheetah II is truly a remarkable zero-turn mower.
The Operator Suspension System isolates the operator platform via a coil-over shock and provides additional comfort via rubber iso-mounts. This innovative, adjustable system soaks up the bumps and keeps things simple with only three moving parts.
The ZT-5400 transaxles have two-speeds, Low Range (up to 19km/h) and High Range (up to 25.7km/h). The large 49 litre fuel capacity (dual tanks) keeps you in the field cutting grass. Fill up in the morning and cut all day long.
From the heavy-duty, Tri-Plate Velocity Plus™ side discharge cutter decks and the 61" Velocity Plus™ Rear Discharge Decks, to the various high-power engine options, there's a Cheetah II that will increase your productivity and leave your competition in the dust!
Side or rear discharge decks
Scag's flagship Velocity Plus™ decks offer extreme durability and cut quality, and are available in either side (61" or 72" or rear discharge (61") configurations. Perfect for mowing contractors or councils using in public places, or orchards/vineyards between the rows, there is a Scag Cheetah II mower that suits your requirements. The Tri-Plate design of the deck equals 485" deck top thickness from three separate layers of steel (7ga., 10ga, and 11ga). Cast iron spindles, cast locally and assembled in the factory, offer superior durability compared to similar alloy or imported spindles on alternative brands.
Unique operator suspension system
The Cheetah II is fitted with a highly functional operator suspension system that is unique to Scag. Instead of other brands which have suspension systems that involve moving parts of the chassis, the Scag has a fixed chassis and the operator is 'floating' on an isolated platform, for ultimate comfort and cutting performance. Easy to use with an adjustment lever just below the seat, the coil-over shock system has 5 settings, soaking the bumps to give a smooth ride, even at speeds over 25km/h!
2-speed transaxles
The 16cc HydroGear ZT-5400 transaxles provide amazing power, propelling the mower to drive speeds over 25km/h. Designed specifically for the tough commercial market, the ZT-5400 powertrain is two speed - meaning you can select a mowing speed or a fast mode for quick transport between jobs or back to your vehicle. The 2-speed function is controlled by a variable swash plate, so there are no actual gears that shift - so changing on the fly is completely harmless to the unit.
Tiger Eye monitoring system
The instrument panel features the Tiger Eye Advanced On-Board Monitoring System, ignition switch, mower engagement switch, choke, throttle control and check engine light. 12-volt outlet mounted close for operator convenience.
Ogura clutch
The Japanese made Ogura GT 5 PTO clutch brake offers excellent starting and stopping power for the cutter deck. Adjustable air-gap for long life.
OPERATOR SUSPENSION PLATFORM - the entire operator platform including seat and feet pan is isolated on iso-mounts and coil suspension for a comfortable ride over bumpy terrain.
SUPER FAST - 2-speed ZT-5400 transaxles provide a transport speed of 26km/h to get between jobs or lawns fast.
VELOCITY+ DECK - the envy of the industry, this deck delivers an amazing quality of cut and is full fabricated with triple layer steel in the middle - almost 1/2" thick.
CAST IRON SPINDLES WITH TAPERED ROLLER BEARING - made in house by Scag, these spindles are the industry best - full stop.
