Canycom CMX2414 — New Zealand's Most Capable Slope Mower
Mowing steep, rough, or overgrown land has never been easier or safer. The all-new Canycom CMX2414 is the latest evolution of New Zealand's original ride-on slope and brushcutter mower — a machine built in Japan with decades of engineering refinement behind it, and purpose-designed for the demanding conditions found on Kiwi farms, lifestyle blocks, and commercial properties. With a powerful 24hp Honda GXV690 engine and a 38" (975mm) cutting width, the CMX2414 is ready to take on whatever your property throws at it.
Mow (Almost) Anything — Shaft Drive Power Without the Belt Hassles
At the heart of the CMX2414 is a shaft drive cast iron gearbox, delivering maximum power and torque directly to the flail deck with no belts to slip, wear, or replace. Tall grass, thick gorse, broom, weeds, and scrub up to 2m tall are no match for the flail blades, which mulch material finely while deflecting safely on contact with rocks — protected by shear pins on the shaft and gearbox. A dual range hydrostatic transmission paired with selectable positive diff-lock gives you the right gear for every situation, whether you're cruising an open paddock or pushing through dense hillside scrub.
Engineered for Slopes — Exceptionally Safe and Stable
The Canycom CMX2414 is slope-rated for 25° and beyond, thanks to its ultra-low centre of gravity and extended long-wheelbase chassis. The machine virtually hugs the ground, providing outstanding traction and stability on terrain that would unsettle a conventional ride-on mower. Hand lever and front brake controls give the operator confident, precise command at all times. A large hydrostatic tank with dedicated cooling ensures consistent performance across long working days, making this machine as dependable as it is capable.
A Significant Upgrade on the CMX2408 — More of Everything That Matters
The CMX2414 builds on the well-regarded CMX2408 with a series of meaningful, practical improvements. The chassis has been extended by approximately 8cm, making a genuine difference to legroom — particularly welcome for taller operators and commercial users spending hours in the seat. A checkerplate foot base adds grip, durability, and a distinctly commercial look and feel. A front bumper and pushover bar assists when tackling taller, denser vegetation. Most significantly, a roll frame, seatbelt, and suspension seat all come fitted as standard — no extras required — making the CMX2414 ROPS-ready from day one and ideal for any application where operator safety is a priority.
Made in Japan
Canycom is New Zealand's original ride-on slope mower, and the CMX2414 carries forward a proud tradition of Japanese quality and engineering precision. Hundreds of properties across New Zealand — from lifestyle blocks to working farms to professional mowing contractors — already rely on Canycom machines day in, day out. The CMX2414 sits in the Canycom range between the CMX2408 and CMX2406, both of which continue as current models in New Zealand. If you're ready to stop battling your slopes and start managing them with confidence, the CMX2414 is the machine built to do exactly that.
