Most sites rarely run at full output for long, so real-world run times are typically far longer. All configurations handle 110% overload for 10 minutes and 120% for 1 minute, covering motor starts and short peaks.

Allye MAX300 328kWh Battery Energy Storage System
Key features
- 328kWh (NMC) or 246kWh (LFP) rated capacity, with 88, 140 or 280kW continuous output
- Liquid-cooled batteries and power conversion, trailer-mounted or skid with forklift pockets
- Integrated DC and AC EV charging, plus IsoCharge and PhaseFlex power control options
The MAX300 packs high-capacity battery storage, built from automotive battery packs, into the footprint of a car park. It can run a site on battery alone, pair with a diesel generator to cut fuel and run hours, or boost a supply that can’t keep up.
Each battery pack runs through its own bi-directional converter. If one pack goes offline, the system keeps running, and it can charge and discharge at the same time.

Product details
The Allye MAX300 is a 328kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) designed and built in the UK by Allye Energy, and supplied in New Zealand by OMC Power Equipment.
The MAX300 is configurable rather than a one-size box. You choose how it’s mounted, how much power it delivers, which battery chemistry it runs, and which inlets, outlets and charging options it carries. The unit is built around your site, not the other way round.
Trailer-mounted or skid: built for how you’ll use it
Mobile: The MAX300 can be specified on an integrated trailer for sites that move. The complete unit weighs under 3.5 tonnes on its trailer, so it tows on a standard licence. It measures 2,950mm long, 1,740mm wide and under 2m tall, small enough to fit a standard car park.
Skid / stationary: Forklift pockets are fitted as standard, and lifting eyes are available for top lifting by crane or Hiab. The skid version suits a permanent position on a site, or a fleet unit moved by truck.
Power vs capacity: choose your power configuration
Power is how fast energy moves. Capacity is how much is stored. Every MAX300 carries the same battery, so a higher power configuration does not add stored energy: it lets you deliver that energy faster. Size the power to your largest simultaneous load, and the capacity to how long you need to run.
| Choose your power configuration |

The MAX300 comes with NMC/NCA packs as standard, or with LFP (lithium iron phosphate) as an option at no extra cost. Mixed chemistry builds are also available.
NMC/NCA gives you the most energy in the box, around a third more stored capacity than LFP. It suits jobs where run time per charge matters most, such as events, film sets and overnight site loads.
LFP trades roughly 25% of capacity for a cycle life over 50% longer and a well-proven thermal safety profile. On sites that cycle the battery every day, LFP delivers more total energy over its life, even with the smaller tank.
Liquid cooling: rated power, all day
Every MAX300 has integrated liquid cooling for the battery packs. On Mid and High Power configurations, the power conversion system (inverters) is liquid-cooled as well. Liquid cooling is why the MAX300 holds its rated output as it works, instead of derating as it warms up.
The standard operating range is -10°C to 40°C. An optional heat pump with chiller (Mid and High Power) extends that range for hot sites, cold sites or sustained high-rate cycling.
Smart power control: IsoCharge and PhaseFlex
IsoCharge isolation: IsoCharge electrically isolates your loads from the incoming supply, with no back-feed. The battery carries the site’s demand, and the grid or generator simply recharges it in the background. Sensitive equipment is protected from supply disturbances, and you can run from a much smaller connection or generator while burning less fuel. IsoCharge requires a three-phase supply.
PhaseFlex single to three-phase conversion: PhaseFlex turns a single-phase supply into a stable three-phase output, so you can run three-phase plant, or even DC fast charging, from a site that only has single-phase power. A 63A single-phase inlet recharges the battery steadily at around 14kW, while the MAX300 delivers much higher peaks on its three-phase output. PhaseFlex includes the same isolation as IsoCharge, so you specify one or the other.
Also available: SyncFlow synchronises with the grid or a generator and transfers load in under 40ms. IsoPass routes the supply straight through to critical loads if the system goes offline.
Inlets and outlets
Alongside the standard connections, the MAX300 can be specified with:
Inlets
- 32A single-phase inlet
- 63A single-phase inlet (supplied with PhaseFlex)
- Powerlock 400A inlet
Outlets
- Powerlock 400A outlet
- Additional 63A three-phase outlet
- 32A three-phase outlet
- 63A single-phase outlet
- 32A single-phase outlet
- 16A single-phase outlet
Every outlet is MCCB and RCD protected, ready for New Zealand construction sites and events. Earth leakage settings can be fixed, adjusted on the unit, or adjusted remotely over Modbus. Busbar and hardwired connections are also available.
EV charging built in
The MAX300 can charge EVs, electric plant and fleet vehicles directly, on-grid or off-grid:
- AC charging: 4 x 22kW Type 2
- DC charging (CCS): 60kW (2 x 30kW) or 120kW, 240kW, or 400kW on Mid and High Power (800V architecture)
- DC recharging: a 125kW DC inlet lets the MAX300 top itself up from any public or depot DC fast charger, with no diesel and no grid connection on site (Mid and High Power)
Two charging outlets can run in buffer mode, charging from the battery, or direct.
Fire safety and fire suppression upgrade
Every MAX300 has 24/7 cell-level monitoring, a pyro fuse in every battery pack, and IP67-rated packs inside an IP54 enclosure. A multi-function protection sensor monitors for gas (VOC), shock and environmental conditions, and can isolate individual packs.
High-risk or high-value sites can upgrade to Stat-X aerosol fire suppression, combined with battery flood and vent ports.
What is the Allye MAX300 used for?
Grid-constrained sites: In Scotland, fleet operator J&M Murdoch needed DC fast charging, and the alternative was a grid upgrade of around £300k. Their MAX300 now runs off a 32A supply and buffers their DC chargers, and it was up and running within a day. At UK motorway services operator Roadchef, a MAX300 shaves peaks to keep a shared 315A supply under its limit. It avoided 12 site trips and saved £120k in its first year.
Film, TV and events: The MAX300 is near-silent with no exhaust, so it can sit right beside a set, catering or front-of-house. On a Netflix shoot in London, the generator ran only 16% of the time with a MAX300 on set.
Construction and hire: Site compounds, lighting and tools run on battery, and the generator only starts when it’s needed. UK hire company Horizon Plant cut fuel use by 70% by pairing MAX300s with tower crane generators.
EV and electric plant charging: Charge vans, trucks and electric machinery on sites with little or no spare supply.
How does it work with a diesel generator?
A genset remote start terminal is standard. When the battery runs low or demand climbs, the MAX300 starts the generator. The generator carries the load and recharges the battery at an efficient, solid load, then shuts down. That means less fuel, fewer run hours and no wet stacking.
Warranty
The MAX300 comes with a 3-year warranty as standard, covering full repair and replacement for manufacturer defects. You can extend it to 5 years with Allye’s platform package, which also includes remote monitoring, over-the-air updates and an annual inspection.
